Some clients prefer a woman at the wheel, and Excel Chauffeurs makes that a simple request rather than a special arrangement. Our female chauffeurs hold the same private hire licences, pass the same DBS and reference checks, and have the same minimum three years’ chauffeur experience as the rest of the team. They drive the same Mercedes S-Class, E-Class and V-Class vehicles at the same fixed prices. Tell us when you book, and we confirm a female chauffeur subject to availability, usually within the hour.

How to book a female chauffeur

• Online: add “female chauffeur requested” in the notes when you book, or tell us by phone or WhatsApp.
• Notice: we can often cover same-day requests, but 24 hours’ notice lets us guarantee availability. For regular bookings such as a weekly school run we assign the same female chauffeur throughout.
• Confirmation: you receive the chauffeur’s name and mobile number before the journey, as with every booking. If we cannot provide a female chauffeur for a specific time, we tell you before you pay, never on the day.

Female chauffeurs: questions we are asked

Is a female chauffeur guaranteed?

Subject to availability. With 24 hours’ notice we can almost always confirm one; for same-day requests we check and confirm before you pay. We never substitute a male chauffeur without telling you first.

Are your female chauffeurs as experienced as the rest of the team?

Yes. Every Excel Chauffeurs chauffeur, regardless of gender, holds a private hire driver licence, is DBS-checked, has a minimum of three years’ chauffeur experience and is suited and briefed to the same standard. Some are also defensive-driving trained.

Can I book a female chauffeur for a regular school run?

Yes. Regular bookings are assigned to one chauffeur so the children see the same face each day. Booster seats are free; baby and child seats are £25 per seat, per booking, and by law you fit them yourself.

Does it cost more?

No. Female chauffeurs are booked at our standard rates for the vehicle you choose.

Can a female chauffeur meet me inside the airport?

Yes. Standard airport collections include a name board in arrivals; at Heathrow and Gatwick you can also add our Fast Track VIP Meet & Greet, where a greeter escorts you from the aircraft door to your chauffeur.
